The X350 Jaguar was the company’s third iteration of range topping XJ Saloon. The X350 was noted for its advanced electrical systems, self-levelling adaptive air suspension and full aluminium unibody chassis and bodywork. All notable innovations at launch in 2002. The bodyshell was 40 per cent lighter and 50 percent stiffer than its predecessor, making this one of the best driving big saloons of its day.

The 3.5L V8 engine featured in this car was all new for the X350 and, as here, mated to the six speed ZF automatic gearbox is considered the range sweet-spot for its blend of power, refinement and economy.

This car has a unique provenance having recently being imported from Japan. In Japan the car enjoyed just one owner from new and has been very lightly used, covering an astonishingly low 13,001 miles only. The car has been garaged between uses for its entire life and comes from an area of Japan where road salt wasn’t used. These factors have combined to make for a car that appears more like 2 or 3 years old rather than 18!

The car has been imported by a London based Jaguar specialist and will be supplied in full UK specification and in this amazing time-warp condition. Please review our photographic package to appreciate the condition of this XJ8 for yourself.

The car has been registered on a new UK V5 and MOT’d. Both documents will be supplied with the car. Most importantly the original Japanese Mileage Verification Certificate is present which confirms the incredibly low mileage as genuine.

Jaguar saloons have always provided an object lesson in offering the lucky owner a “special occasion” feel to every drive. This car is certainly no exception. As you would expect from such a lightly used car, the interior is a delight.

From the Ivory leather seats and upholstery, extensive use of dark walnut veneer trim through to all the usual Jaguar refinements, this interior provides a lovely place to spend time. Those refinements include heated, powered front seats and heated rear seats, touch-screen satellite navigation and electrically adjustable steering column and pedals….with memory! 

The current owner confirms that this car has never been smoked in, witness the cigarette lighter, and that the sumptuous leather has been professionally cleaned and conditioned.

As you will see from our photographic package, this really is a pristine example of the sublime XJ8. The original Liquid Silver paint appears in an “as-new” condition and the body work is devoid of and dents, dings or scratches. No surprise given the provenance of this car.

The exterior specification includes bi-xenon headlamps with power wash, power-fold mirrors and 18-inch Jaguar alloy wheels. The alloys appear to be in as good a condition as the rest of the car and are shod with 235/50 Pirelli 6000’s all round.

The 3.5L V8 engine in this car was all new for this X350 model and derived from the earlier, long serving Jaguar 4.2L engine. These engines have proved very reliable in service providing an “iron hand in a velvet glove” experience of silky smooth, quiet refinement belying significant power and athletic when called upon.

As you would expect from such a lightly used example, the owner attests to all aspects of the mechanical systems of this car to be entirely as you would expect from a car with this pedigree and fastidious previous ownership.

There aren’t many cars which can offer the range of appeal of this XJ8 at such an affordable price. A sumptuously appointed interior with every conceivable extra on hand to enhance the driver, or passenger experience. A sporting appearance combined with that indefinable dignity and presence of a big Jaguar saloon.

However, this must surely be the most lightly used and low mileage example of a 2004 XJ8 outside of a museum collection. It appears as if the car has been kept in a time-capsule given the condition and mileage of the car. For those looking for a highly accomplished British sports-saloon at a sensible price point then this car must offer a unique proposition for you. Don’t miss out.
