Significant recent mechanical investment including new alternator, brakes and suspension components
The Appeal
By the 2000s, Mercedes-Benz had begun focusing on technology and comforts to keep ahead of the market, and the SL quickly gained a reputation for being a particularly ritzy roadster. While the mechanics were fabulous, it was arguably the options list, electro-hydraulic hard top and ABC Suspension that really made for a comfortable, luxuriant tourer.
This example has been garaged for the past two decades and benefits from notably stable ownership, with the previous registered keeper retaining the car for 17 years before the current vendor acquired it in early 2023. The vendor proudly tells us that it's a fantastic cruiser. A considerable amount of mechanical work has been undertaken in recent years, and the alloys were refurbished in 2023. With an MOT valid until May 2027, it's ready and waiting to drive away.image.png1.42 MB
