The Appeal

The Tom Peters-designed XLR, with its distinctive razor-edge styling, is an unusual and highly capable alternative to more common European roadsters. Beneath this 2005 car’s Platinum bodywork lies a chassis shared with the highly regarded C6 Corvette, plus General Motors’ gutsy 4.6L 320bhp ‘Northstar’ V8 engine.

The result, then, is a car that is both sportster and typically Cadillac-comfortable GT. With its clever folding hard top it is works whatever the weather. The XLR is a rare find in Europe, yet perfect for long-distance trans-continental touring. This car arrives in good condition with some light points to note in the photos. We’re told that the car was serviced in March 2024, only 200 miles ago.
