The Appeal
The X350 looked a lot like the original XJ saloon of 1968, but those classic lines hid what was actually the fist all-new XJ for decades and a truly innovative executive saloon. Extensive use of aluminium delivered a big saloon with the agility of a far smaller car. Clever air suspension also delivered the sort of ride comfort for which the long XJ lineage had become synonymous.
The twin turbo 2.7L V6 diesel engine blends decent performance and smoothness with the sort of economy that makes cars like this early facelift X356 so usable. Classically finished in British Racing Green with a high specification Champagne leather and walnut trimmed interior, it is a well presented car in good overall condition. The paintwork to the driver’s door, roof and rear bumper have been recently refreshed.
The vendor is only the car’s third keeper. He bought it last year for a long European driving holiday and has covered only 5,000 km. The car has been little used since last December but is said to start and run well with correctly operating air suspension.
The vendor says:
“The engine is in excellent condition, it sounds great. The air suspension operates perfectly, and the gearbox delivers smooth and precise shifts. Overall, the vehicle drives exceptionally well and has been well maintained.
“Luxury Jaguar XJ in very good condition, offering exceptional comfort, refined design, and smooth performance. A premium executive sedan with a quiet ride, high-quality interior, and strong road presence.”
