The W203 generation of Mercedes-Benz C-class built on the success of its 190 and W202 C-class predecessors, bringing in sportier styling and a host of Mercedes-Benz’s technological upgrades. A wide range of engines was offered, with many reckoning the supercharged 1.8-litre engine – as found in the C180 Kompressor and C200 Kompressor – to offer the optimum combination of performance, economy and running costs, combined with the build quality of Mercedes-Benz.
 
This low-mileage example of the C180 Classic SE was previously owned by a UK non-resident and used only when they visited the country. It has always been kept in a garage, and always serviced – including recently – as recorded in the fully stamped service book. The seller states that the underbody of the car has been undersealed in vulnerable areas, and they report no signs of rust.
 
The metallic red exterior retains its sheen, with only minor chips reported by the seller. Inside, new heavy-duty floor mat have been fitted, and the front seats feature faux leather covers to protect the light-coloured cloth interior.
 
The seller states that they recently conducted a long trip to France, where the car returned 60 mpg. The Kompressor engine has reportedly just been fully serviced, and a new Mercedes-Benz-specification Bosch battery just fitted.
