The Appeal

This 2005 350 CLS is finished in Tanzanite Blue with a contrasting tan leather interior and fitted with Parktronic, memory heated seats and a phone kit amongst its generous specifications. It also comes with a pleasingly regular cycle of service records, with 15 stamps in its service book to back it up. With just two previous owners under its belt, who appeared to have used it for long-distance travel, it will also be sold with a year's MOT and is ULEZ exempt too. Well presented, with a well-looked-after interior, it needs a little cleaning and some minor exterior cosmetics to help betray its years.

The Interior

• Well-kept leather tan interior and intact veneer facia
• Memory heated seats in good shape with minimal wear on the bolsters 
• Carpets and mats damp free and in good shape - may benefit from a deep clean
• The dashboard, facia, centre console and binnacle are in good shape
• All functions are said to work, with the air-con blowing icy cold
• CD player, MP3-compatible

• Door cards are in good shape, the driver side is slightly loose on top with minor scuffs 
• Headlining is intact but needs a scrub in places
• Boot suggests low usage
• The gear lever and Steering wheel are in good shape

The Exterior 

• Structurally in good shape, with some signs of surface corrosion noted underneath
• Panel fit flush, with even shut lines
• Doors open and close with ease
• Free of significant body blemishes, with nothing more than light signs of age noted on lower arch lips
• Tanzanite blue paintwork has an even coverage with a decent lustre
• Light peppering on stone chips on the nose, with minor surface marks elsewhere - easily remedied by a machine polish
• The bumpers are well-mounted. A scuff was noted on the offside rear corner
• Glass intact, with wear commensurate with the age of the car
• Trim appears to be intact, with minor signs of age on the door frames
• Headlamps intact with mild ageing on the front lens, all other lenses are good
• Alloys show signs of under paint blemishes and the odd scuff but otherwise present well
• Front Goodyear tyres are around 5 years old, rear Toyos from 2020 - all have plenty of life in them

The Mechanics 

• 3.5-litre V6 M272 engine

• The engine presents well with good ancillaries and hoses

• It starts up with no dashboard warning lights
• Runs evenly with no unwanted noises heard from the engine
