The Appeal
Nissan’s Z33 Z car was a proper rethink. Its layout, engineering and design were influenced by the classic fastback original but not slavishly so. The result was an attractive, chiselled sports car with near perfect weight balance and a grunty, powerful V6.
Given all that, it is understandable that the 350Z became a key ingredient of Playstation’s Gran Turismo series. So much so that this car was built to celebrate the association. For the launch of GT4, Nissan announced that it would build 176 special edition ‘Gran Turismo 4’ cars for the UK market.
The GT4 cars cost an extra £2,500 but buyers got a lot for their money. Power was lifted 20bhp to 300bhp, there were 18in alloys, gold-painted Brembo calipers and improved interior specification including BOSE sounds. Two colours were available - yellow and Kuro Black.
This Kuro Black car retains its special features and is an exceptionally low mileage 350Z with only a shade over 38,000 miles from new. It is in very good condition, appearing far younger than its 20 years. The cabin is particularly impressive.
Regular servicing to 2024 and 35,600 miles attests to the care of its four keepers. The current one acquired it in 2020 from a family member and has kept the mechanical and cosmetic condition up to date, including repainting the roof and replacing varius sensors and valves. It received two new tyres in 2025.
The car is factory standard except for a fruity Powerflow cat-back exhaust system. It comes to market with long MOT to March 2026 and with advisories for the front tyres rectified.
The vendor says:
"It's a great balance of power and handling, and it sounds fantastic! I have thoroughly enjoyed owning the car over the past 5 years, but its time to let someone else get the same enjoyment out of it that I have had. Seems a shame to let it sit!"
