The Vantage is the fastest up-and-coming modern classic in the Aston Martin stable. The compact coupé, both smaller and more affordable than the DB9, was the brand’s attempt to go head-to-head with the Porsche 911 and was (still is…) an engaging and rewarding driver’s car.
It was launched in 2005 with a new 4.3-litre V8 engine developing 385bhp, offering a 0-60mph sprint time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 180mph.
This one is a genuine 23,000-mile car that has been well-loved for all of its life and comes from private ownership, where it has been cherished and properly maintained. It is presented in fantastic condition, with no obvious problems or issues, and serviced by the Aston Martin dealership in Chichester earlier this year and less than 600 miles ago.
This is a pretty special car to sit inside, with supportive heated and electrically adjustable sports seats and its original stereo and climate control controls. It also has the bonus of factory sat nav, which rises from the top of the dash. The dahs itself is covered on black stitched leather and looks the part, while it also has factory floor mats in very good order.

Finished in fabulous Meteorite Grey, which really suits the stealthy coupé lines of the Vantage, the Aston is very smartly presented and sits on a set of flawless seven-spoke alloy wheels, shod with good quality Bridgestone Potenza tyres with 5-7mm of tread.

Amazing performance
Reach for the starter button and you’re met by an immediate snarl from the 385bhp 4.3-litre V8, which offers 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed close to 200mph. The Aston Martin home-designed unit is amazingly quick and sounds fantastic, while this one has the rarer six-speed manual transmission, making it ideal for the driving purist.
According to the vendor it drives incredibly well with no issues whatsoever, and is fast, responsive and refined at cruising speeds. The low mileage should add further peace of mind, especially as the car has always been maintained by Aston Martin main dealers or specialists. It was most recently service in February this year by an Aston Martin main dealership at 23,032 miles.
The under-bonnet area also features a plaque stating that it was hand-built in England and had its final inspection by Aston Martin employee Martyn Askill.
This is an impeccable example of the Vantage, with a great pedigree and presented in terrific condition and in one of the very best colours. It’s a terrific car and one that should also prove to be a great future investment for its next owner.
