THE APPEAL
Introduced in 2006 to celebrate 60 years of manufacturing at Crewe, the Bentley Arnage T Diamond Edition was the ultimate in luxury derivatives of the sumptuous super saloon.
A total of only 60 were made in the celebration specification, the majority of which were supplied in left-hand-drive to the USA market.
19 were sold in the UK as right-hand-drive cars and this one is possibly the very first, as it was Bentley’s own, used for motor shows, marketing materials and latterly as a press demonstrator.
It was originally PDI’d by Bentley Motor Cars Press and Special Car Support unit at Crewe, it was then serviced by them at 1,178 miles on 07-09-06 and 7,508 miles on 12-06-07 before being sold on to its first of four private owners.
It is finished in unique Windsor Blue with diamond pattern hide interior and Bentley insignias and a special limited-edition plaque.
The car was previously owned by two chauffeur drive companies, the current keeper - who owns a classic car company - intended to keep this car for his personal use and had several European trips organised, however due to a change in his health and an upcoming major operation this is no longer possible, therefore he very reluctantly has decided it must be sold.
Collectors are falling over themselves for the best of the Arnages – considered by many to be the last ‘true’ Bentley.
This one is even more appealing because it’s such a rare and desirable example – one of just 19 UK-specification Diamond Editions that has been well-loved throughout its life and is presented in very good condition, and also the original Bentley press demonstrator
