The Appeal
Dropping a big engine into a small car wasn’t a new idea before the original 1-series BMW, but the Munich firm definitely showed how to do it well. The 130, with its 265bhp N52 straight six, is perhaps the perfect blend of real world performance and decent comfort, which may explain why BMW chose this car as a press car.
