The Appeal
The Mk5 Fiesta ST150 may not have had quite the outright power of some of its competitors, but Ford and its buyers knew that didn’t matter. Because where this hot hatch delivered was on the twisties, not just the straights, where its nimble chassis and engaging handling wowed owners and reviewers.
Autocar named it Affordable Driver’s Car of the Year, ahead of the Megane RS and MX-5, saying:
“It’s the handling that will really sell you on the ST 150… The standard Mk5 Fiesta was already among the more dynamically competent models in its segment, and the ST only sweetened the deal.”
Original, unmolested and well-maintained examples are getting surprisingly thin on the ground. That makes this example stand out. Looking tidy in classic metallic blue with its original side stripe, it has been well maintained and would make a great starter classic.
The car has been looked after by the same garage since 2015. Recent work has included servicing, a new battery and replacement rear discs and pads. The MOT runs to October 2025.
