The Appeal

While BMW increasingly erred towards technology-titivated super saloon stardom with the M5, Mercedes chose a simpler, more direct and traditional route. The W211 E63 got the firm’s big 6.2L AMG-tuned, naturally aspirated V8, RWD, tuned Airmatic suspension, and, well, that’s pretty much all you need to know because it is a beguiling and highly rated package.

Good E63s that have been properly maintained and not abused are surprisingly rare, but this car is exactly that. Its Bright Silver metalic paintwork is in good order, as is the black leather with its Birds Eye Maple veneers. The service history tells a similar story, showing a run of regular servicing and maintenance by main dealers, specialists and independents. The last service was in July 2025, with few miles since, and in recent years there have been new engine mounts, a gearbox service and manifold gaskets. The current MOT runs to March 2027.
