The Appeal
When you’re buying a Cobra replica it all comes down to the details. Get those wrong and enthusiasts will quickly know. Get them right, and you have a car that continuously rewards the eye.
As here. The current keeper of this Dax Tojeiro built it in 2005 and has owned it ever since. You can probably tell a lot about him from how this car looks in the photos. Fnished in Midnight Blue - a Jaguar colour - iwith a cream leather interior, it is a beautifully executed and highly detailed Cobra evocation that is amongst the best we’ve seen in a long while. We love the side exit exhausts, the classic bucket seats with their Willan harnesses, and of course, those deep-dish Hallibrands sitting on quality Toyo Proxes.
The photos likely do it particular justice because it has only covered 2,500 miles since it was first road registered in mid 2007. Consequently the paintwork, cabin and features remain at a very high level.
Key to this car’s appeal is that it is not all show and no go. Beneath the shapely Cobra bonnet lies a 4L Rover V8 mated to a 5spd manual box.
Regularly serviced and maintained by the current keeper, this is a superb example of the well regarded DAX Cobra. It comes to market with, naturally, an advisory free MOT to August 2025.
The vendor says:
“I enjoy driving it as it hugs the road and takes corners beautifully. The Rover engine sounds great and it is admired wherever I go. It is a gorgeous looking car. I have a full photgraphic book of all the stages of build, together with build manual.”
