The Appeal
The aluminium-bodied X150 XKR seems likely to be the firm’s last ever petrol-engined GT. Its agile handling, supercharged urge and usual Jaguar refinement make good examples a fitting swansong to the firm’s long line of grand tourers.
This 2007 XKR would be a good jumping off point to discover these cars. It is a very low mileage example, regularly maintained by Jaguar main dealers and finished in popular Liquid Silver with Warm Charcoal leather. The current keeper acquired it a couple of years ago to add to his five-car collection. He tells us that he’s used it sparingly and dry stored it when not in use, and is only selling to replace it with a Bentley.
The service records show regular attention by main dealers irrespective of mileage. The last service was less than 1,000 miles ago. In 2024 the car received a new roof and in 2025 minor rectification to resolve MOT advisories. The current test runs to May 2026 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“It’s a truly great car to drive. I used to own a 2007 911 Porsche Turbo, and I was surprised at how well the Jaguar compared to the Porsche, and for a lot less money. It handles beautifully at all speeds, and the supercharged V8 provides an epic V8 soundtrack, with easily enough power for everyday driving and then some, with a 4.9-second 0-62. I thought about the 5-litre-engined car but decided I preferred the cleaner lines and lower price of the 4.2-litre car. It is a true successor to the E-type. One of the many advantages of the XKR is the aluminium body, which means there is little to no rust to worry about in the long term. One of Jaguar’s greatest cars, in my view. I am only selling because I am moving on to a Bentley GTC Speed.”

The vendor says:
“All wheels have 7mm of tyre tread remaining. There are parking and pot hole scuffs to all wheels, so scuffing immaculate wheels is not something you have to worry about! There is a small piece of rubber missing from the rim protector rubber on the front driver’s side wheel. One very small ding to the rear passenger side quarter panel. Otherwise the car is in great shape and looks stunning in its metallic silver paint.
“The interior, including the leather, is in very good condition and as one would expect with the low mileage. The car is equipped with electric, adjustable, and folding mirrors and electric, fully adjustable, and heated front seats. The car has built in sat nav - software updated in 2015. One bonus, which I only discovered after buying the car, is that the excellent Alpine-based stereo has Bluetooth connectivity as well as a 6CD stack. One good driving CD comes with the car. There is also an aftermarket fitted reversing camera, and a pre-wired battery charger. The recent battery is accessed via the back of the boot.”
