A lovely looking example of this, now, iconic supercharged, super-saloon
Presenting beautifully in Emerald Green Metallic over Champagne leather
Featuring the mighty 4.2L supercharged V8 for supercar slaying performance
The Appeal
The X350 Jaguar appeared in 2003 to become the firm’s third iteration of its range topping XJ saloon. Whilst the styling followed the “evolution not revolution” ethos, it was under the skin where so much had changed for the better. Most significantly, the car was now formed from an aluminium unibody construction, making it simultaneously 40% lighter and 50% stiffer than its predecessor.
Our XJR ticks all the boxes. Not only does it feature that fire breathing supercharged V8 upfront, but it presents beautifully in its sublime metallic green colourway. A recent re-import from the salt free roads of Japan it is in fine fettle throughout and packed with almost every conceivable refinement and driver aid of the period.

The electric pedals, steering column and exterior mirrors also benefit from this function
The rear cabin is no less well equipped and luxurious
The outer two rear seats are electrically heated

A full entertainment system control unit is fitted to the centre armrest

An electrically operated tilt and slide sunroof is also present

A signature Jaguar bonnet highly chromed leaper is also fitted
The quad bi-xenon headlamps complete with power washers complete the front end
No significant blemishes or imperfections were noted or reported
A full machine polish has been undertaken with ceramic sealer applied
The Mechanics
This car is fitted with the mighty 4.2L supercharged version of the AJ-V8 engine
Designated as the AJ33S, this engine is supercharged and intercooled
This unit was originally rated at 395bhp and 400 Ib-ft of torque
Power is fed to the rear wheels via a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox
Add to the mix that light aluminium body and advanced adaptive suspension
This helps endow the XJR with supercar rivalling performance when called upon
This originally gave the car a top speed limited to 155mph and a 5 second 0-60 time
All this delivered with the perfect blend or refinement and sporting cues
The under-bonnet presentation is also excellent – always a good sign
The car is reported to have a full Japanese service history
Our vendor also thoroughly checks and maintains his cars before sale
As a result, the car is reported to be in an excellent mechanical condition
Summary
What makes the XJR so appealing is its hard-to-rival combination of sumptuous luxury and rip-snorting, supercharged performance. It’s a heady mix that is almost certain to beguile anyone with even a passing interest in cars and driving.
This is a pristine example, too, that ticks absolutely every box in terms of equipment, appointment, and quality. It is hard to think of another car that offers the same blend of attributes in such a fine looking and subtle package, and at such an attainable price point. Surely an enticing and great value ownership proposition for connoisseurs of fine, continent-crossing luxury saloons.

About Max Bids
The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.
Anti-sniping
Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.
Auto-bidding increments
If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.
Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
