The Appeal

When it comes to a Luxury Sports Sedan, the Maserati Quattroporte is an icon. The Modena-built car has been in production for six generations since 1963. Filled with luxury, with sleek and distinctly understated bodywork, the 5th generation rapidly became a keystone in Maserati's product range, and continues to be an impeccable contender for a modern classic.

This particular 2007 example is no exception. Its sleek black exterior and cream interior exude elegance and sophistication - and the car comes complete with plenty of service history. This highly engaging Italian motor is bound to get plenty of attention.

This includes replacing the wheel bearing which is a common issue for this era of Maserati as well as maintenance to suspension components. Improvements have also been made to rectify the common issue of bubbling paint on the wing mirrors so that it looks as good as when it left the factory.

The Condition

  • Sleek black paintwork with a nice, tight panel fit

  • Highly original and very nicely presented
  • There is a minor 1cm split at the back of the passenger headrest adjuster
  • Buttons are slightly sticky, a pretty common issue for a car of this age
  • All instruments are clean and easy to read
  • Headlining and carpets are nicely kept

The Mechanics

  • 4.2L Ferrari  F136 V8 powerplant
  • 6-speed automatic transmission
  • Engine bay is very nicely kept
  • Fluids are checked regularly and remain at the same level
  • The car pulls well with no issues
  • £1,018 spent in 2020 on new Eibach springs and a replacement coolant header tank
  • Wheel bearing has been replaced and the front suspension has been addressed
  • The car runs smoothly and shifts gears smoothly
  • Ultimately, this appears to be an excellent example throughout
