The Appeal
Mercedes-Benz worked very hard to make the R230 all the car any sports-leaning motoring enthusiast could ever need. Looking at this car, it is hard not to conclude that they firmly succeeded.
To start with it is both coupe and convertible, the clever folding hard top also containing a panoramic glass panel. Then there is the potent 6.2litre V8 that AMG has fettled to deliver a supercar-bothering 510bhp. Finally there is the luxury specification that extends to comfort features like the DraftStop and Airscarf features. This is a car where driver and passenger will be comfortable whatever the weather, roof up or roof down.
This SL63 is a low mileage car finished in popular Iridium Silver and with good maintenance history. There is a long MOT without advisories to February 2025 that indicates its good condition. The vendor advises that it could do with a service but once done this is the perfect chariot for some summer road tripping.
