The Appeal
Any Aston Martin is like a bespoke Savile Row suit - special, couture and hand-made - but some are, well, just a little more special. The DBS is one such car, a high-performance, low-volume GT for those who demand that little bit more. Having 60bhp more power than a DB9, standard carbon-ceramic brakes, and reduced weight thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre all make the DBS the modern classic Aston to have.
Just 2,526 DBS coupes were built. This 2009 car is classically finished in Lightning Silver with an Obsidian Black leather interior, and left the factory with a long list of bespoke extras. Those include B&O audio, factory glass buttons, carbon fibre trim, and Alcantara sports seats. Having covered just 39,261 miles in the intervening years, it is extremely good condition - it’s clear that it has been enthusiast-owned.
That much is evident from the service history, which is so extensive that the last keeper had to buy extra pages. It shows a run of 12 stamps by main dealers and specialists like McGurks and Chiltern Aston. The last service was in August 2025 by Chiltern, since when the car has covered less than 300 miles. The current MOT runs to August 2026 with no advisories.
Like fine watches or single malt whiskies, the best Aston Martins are highly collectable. This DBS has the condition, maintenance and specification to stand out.
In its current ownership since November 2024, the DBS has been garaged and kept on a CTEK trickle charger. It comes to market with two keys, including the iconic crystal glass key, all books, the DBS guide, and the pen. For those seeking a well-documented, well-specified, and properly cared-for DBS, this is a compelling proposition. And yes, the vendor confirms that James Bond theme tunes are the only appropriate soundtrack.
The vendor says:
“I took much time to find this car, and the fact that it had so many bills to support the service book was an important factor, comforted from the fact regular use each year was a benefitting factor rather than a car sitting around with no use from year to year during its life.
“I bought a double CD of James Bond theme tunes and do drive listening to those....I know, it has to be done!”

It is part of a very tasteful specification that includes a large number of options including 20-inch diamond-turned alloys, leather and Alcantara seats with DBS stitching, and additional carbon fibre interior features.
Inside and out, you would be hard pressed to describe this car as 17 years old. There are few, if any, signs of use, even to obvious high-traffic areas such as the driver’s seat bolster or vulnerable ones like the front wheel rims. It all attests to the care of the car’s keepers.
The Mechanics
- 5.9-litre (5,935cc) V12 producing 518bhp
- Six-speed Touchtronic automatic transmission
- Regularly used throughout its life
- Last serviced in August 2025 at 39,000 miles, less than 1,000 miles ago

- No advisories on MOT
The DBS brought back a nameplate introduced on the William Towns-designed 60s fastback. For the new car, the focus was on performance, the S gaining a 60bhp power hike over the DB9 plus standard carbon-ceramic brakes. The use of carbon fibre elsewhere lightens the car and delivers a sharper, more engaged driving experience.
As with any Aston, the key to selecting it over other options is service history. And specifically, who has serviced it. That is where this car scores. As detailed above, there is a run of 12 service stamps up to August 2025, less than 200 miles ago. All work has been undertaken by main dealers or well-regarded specialists like McGurk and Chiltern Aston. Naturally, the current MOT contains no advisories.
