Highlights

  • Outstanding condition inside and out
  • Quality fixtures and fittings
  • Awning included

The Appeal

Eriba has been making caravans since 1957, and its products have a reputation for outstanding quality and longevity. There are Eribas still going strong after fifty-plus years, and they hold their value extremely well.

The Puck is the model that most people associate with Eriba, and is the most compact and space-efficient of the Touring range; it was in early versions of this caravan that German holiday-makers first began to travel around Germany and cross borders to their south. A two-person caravan, the Puck looks small on the outside, but is surprisingly spacious and well-designed on the inside.

This example is in fabulous condition, both inside and out, and is ready to be used and enjoyed.

The History and Paperwork

  • Original owner’s manual
  • Manual for Dometic fridge
  • Invoice for awning
  • Manual for Vango Kela awning
  • Invoice for motor mover
  • Manual for motor mover
  • Manual for Trumatic heater
  • Manual for Winterhoff stabiliser

The Interior

  • Deceptively spacious interior
  • Pop-up roof with zipped vents
  • Huge bed
  • Removable table
  • Plenty of storage
  • Wardrobe with hanging rail
  • Curtains all round
  • TV aerial and signal booster
  • Leisure battery (new in 2019)
  • Smev Calor gas hob
  • Dometic fridge
  • Trumatic heater
  • Saucepan set
  • Fire extinguisher
Although it looks small from the outside, step inside the caravan and it’s surprisingly roomy – no doubt due to clever design, that makes the most of every square inch. Everything here is spotlessly clean and in fantastic condition – this is a caravan that has been cherished.

In ‘daytime’ mode there’s plenty of room to sit, either with or without the removable table, while when the bed is put together its size is remarkable, especially given the caravan’s compact exterior dimensions.

The ‘kitchen’ area has a fridge, a two-ring gas hob and a sink, plus a cupboard for water bottles and a neat cubby hole that contains a saucepan set on a non-slip mat. There’s a Trumatic heater, making this caravan usable for more than just the summer months.
We were not able to verify the operation of the appliances, but the vendor believes that everything works as it should.

The Exterior

  • Bodywork in remarkably good condition
  • Large windows
  • Steps
  • Motor mover (fitted in 2019)
  • Winterhoff WS 3000 stabiliser
  • Spare wheel, looks unused
  • Wheelbrace
  • Vango Kela air awning included
  • Mains hook-up lead included
  • Compartment for gas bottles
As with the interior, the caravan’s exterior is in superb condition. There are no visible dents or blemishes, the windows are all unmarked, and underneath everything looks to be in good order.

At the front of the caravan is a lockable compartment with room for two Calor gas bottles, while other lockable covers give access to the spare wheel and allow the waste-water container beneath the sink to be stored outside.

There’s a motor mover, fitted in 2019 at a cost of £1200, and while we couldn’t verify the operation of this the vendor believes that it works.

Also included is a Vango Kela air awning, that looks as though it has never been unpacked. This was also supplied new in 2019, at a cost of £465.

Summary

Weighing just 790kg, this is a compact caravan that nonetheless offers a remarkable level of comfort and space. It’s clearly been very carefully looked after by previous owners, and you would never guess that it’s fourteen years old, such is its condition.

With the market for caravans and motorhomes having been strong since the COVID-19 pandemic, this presents a great opportunity to own a high-quality and well-appointed caravan in time for the British summer.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
