THE APPEAL

The modern Fiat 500 is a cute and endearing vehicle recognised worldwide with millions being sold.

Popular with the young, old and everyone in between, this little city car is unquestionably one of the most iconic vehicles to be produced by the Italian automotive giant.

In 2008 Ferrari ordered 200 of these petite cars to be initially used as courtesy vehicles for their dealer network, the little cute Fiat being the ideal loan vehicle while your big Ferrari was having its service.

However, the news of these ultra-rare variants spread quickly and the cars were instead snapped by Ferrari customers and collectors alike.

The partnership of these Italian automakers was viewed as a marriage that represented the beauty of Italy and the appreciation of the exclusive, stylish and unique. Only 60 right-hand drive models were produced, making this already rare car even more special.

The limited production numbers plus its sporty and unique customisation provide an overwhelming glamour and appeal that only a prancing pony provides.

THE HISTORY AND PAPERWORK

  • Only two previous keepers
  • Valid V5c
  • Original manufacture book pack
  • Service book including 7 service stamps
  • Invoices for past services
  • Past MOT certificates

THE INTERIOR

  • Black Nero Leather Trim
  • Great condition throughout
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Aluminium pedals
  • Dashboard number plaque
  • Rosso dashboard trim
  • Interscope sound system

Inside the Fiat, you’re greeted with a stylish and sensible layout with added exclusivity.

The black Nero ‘Pelle Frau’ leather seats are in fantastic condition and a suitable pairing to the Rosso Corsa dash and exterior. It's a lovable interior that showcases the superior styling the Italians are renowned for.

Details such as bucket seats, leather steering wheel with red stitching, aluminium pedals and limited edition kick plates, plus a plaque displaying the Ferrari Dealer build number 118/200.

There are plenty of modern comforts included too, climate control, electric mirror, windows and glass sunroof, plus further practicality is added thanks to the rear split folding seats which expand the already reasonable boot space.

It certainly provides the distinguishing characteristics a Ferrari owner would be looking for.

THE EXTERIOR

  • Rosso Corsa Paint
  • Good condition
  • A few minor blemishes

The Fiat 500 Ferrari Dealer Edition was designed to be an adequate and attractive courtesy vehicle and therefore it featured exclusive styling, such as having the Abarth body kit, prancing pony side badges, chrome wing mirrors, red brake callipers, 16’’ Abarth alloy wheels and a twin exhaust.

These styling features combined with the familiar Rosso Corsa paint create a stand-out car and this specific car is a fine example.

There are a couple of minor blemishes that have been photographed otherwise the classic Ferrari red looks sublime, especially in the summer sun.

THE MECHANICS

  • 1.4L 100bhp 6v Petrol
  • Specially tuned
  • Enjoyable exhaust burble

During our visit, we took a short drive to a nearby park where the car was photographed and as you would expect the car performed exceptionally, providing a fun and responsive drive.

An enjoyable burble is provided from the rear twin exhaust. The sporty and smile-inducing noise encourages the driver to use the accelerator pedal more frequently than is required.

Regular servicing has been carried out, with the last carried out at 20,000 miles by Graypaul Ferrari in Nottingham.

The owner informs us that the engine and manual 6-speed gearbox perform as they should, with both being smooth and reactive.

SUMMARY

A blend of two incredible Italian automakers, the rare Ferrari Edition Fiat 500 is a perfect representation of exclusivity and style.

Highly collectable, this is one of 60 RHD models that came to the UK market and research shows that they are becoming increasingly desirable.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
