The Appeal

The E88-generation 135i Cabriolet pairs BMW's N54 twin-turbocharged straight-six with a compact rear-wheel-drive chassis and a folding fabric roof: a combination that the marque no longer produces in quite the same form. With performance credentials and room for four, it occupies a sweet spot between everyday usability and serious driving enjoyment.

This 2010 example, finished in Space Grey Metallic, benefits from substantial recent mechanical investment under its current ownership. In 2023, the car was entrusted to Vcentrum in Warsaw for an extensive programme of maintenance and preventative work totalling over PLN 21,000 across two invoices. The scope of that work — covering engine sealing, gearbox servicing, suspension components, air conditioning and more, addresses many of the key maintenance items associated with the N54 engine. The fabric convertible roof was also separately refurbished.

The car has been modified with an enthusiast's eye, including a sports exhaust, Alcantara interior trim, and supplementary gauges. It should therefore be viewed as a characterful, owner-modified 135i rather than a factory-standard example. Originally supplied to the US market, it was imported to Poland following minor side damage which, according to the current owner, did not involve structural elements. The interior was retrimmed in red leather after import, replacing the original black.
