The Appeal
The F10 550i is practically the legal definition of sleeper saloon. It could be easily mistaken for a 520 yet is more luxurious and comfortable than an M5 and, with over 400bhp on tap, nearly as quick. It’s a canny choice for enthusiasts of executive expresses who don’t want the complexity of a V10 M5.
This 2010 550i must be one of the nicest available. It has recently arrived from Japan where it benefitted from the nation’s salt free roads and commitment to high maintenance standards. The service history shows seven Japanese services, reportedly all by the same BMW main dealer, with a further 2026 service by BMW Sytner. The current MOT runs to April 2026. There are advisories for tyres but recently fitted replacements resolve that issue.
With just 32,000 miles from new, the car’s Silver Grey metallic paintwork and smart beige leather interior look virtually as new. The vendor notes a couple of areas in the Details section below, which could be easily remedied or lived with. Here is a chance to acquire a great example of one of the best quick saloons of recent yearrs.
The vendor says:
“What I love most about this car is its unique combination of subtle looks, silky smooth and effortless performance and comfort whilst also retaining the classic BMW trait of being a positive and fun car to drive. You can cruise around in comfort mode and enjoy the adaptive suspension that irons out UK road imperfections with ease, or turn it up into sport + mode and have all the performance of a fully fledged super saloon, whilst maintaining elegant and subtle looks. It is extremely rare and I don’t believe there are many cars at this price point that can compete with this car in all the elements listed above, and even fewer in this condition and mileage.”
