The Appeal
The CLC was Mercedes’ compact, sporty coupe version of the well-regarded W203 saloon. There was versatile hatchback styling and a huge range of engine and trim options. Today, these popular cars are rare to find in good, preserved condition.
And yet, here is exactly that. Finished in Chromit Black metallic, which looks dark blue in some lights, it is a very high specification car that has covered less than 23,500 miles from new. It features a panoramic roof, optional 18-inch split-spoke alloys and a two-tone leatherette interior. Since 2010 it has been used by an elderly driver for weekly shopping trips.
The condition is quite remarkable for a 15 year old car. The usual vulnerable exterior areas like bumpers and wheels are in good order and inside the trim reflects the very low mileage. Despite the sparing use we’re told that the car has been regularly maintained.
The car has been garaged throughout the elderly keeper’s tenure, but little used in the last four years, including this year. However, it carries advisory-free MOT to June 2026.
The vendor says:
Mechanically sound, full service history, spare wheel untouched, new battery fitted due to storage, petrol engine purrs.
“Smooth, quiet, precise drive, cared for car, looking for an appreciative new owner.”
