The Appeal
For the 2009 model year, Mercedes’ successful R230 got a major refresh, most notably in the Gullwing-inspired front end. Buyers of the SL350 also got a treat: a new 7-speed gearbox and 3.5L V6 engine which, at 315bhp, was now more powerful than the earlier SL500 V8.
These V6-engined cars are a canny choice because, as you can see, they sacrifice little in power to the V8s but avoid the complicated ABS suspension system in favour of a simpler but equally cossetting set-up. This Palladium Silver 2010 car therefore has much to recommend it, with a very low mileage of 26,500 miles and impressive preservation.
The vendor is selling the car reluctantly, as you can read below, and says it has always been garaged and is in very good order. We’re told that it has been regularly serviced and all four tyres were recently replaced. The current MOT runs to April 2027 with a couple of advisories to note. All in, this is a very tidy and clearly much-loved example of the vastly improved later R230.
The vendor says:
“I love everything about the car; it drives so well and looks superb, unfortunately my wife thinks I am too old for it. Whoever buys the car will get a wonderful machine; I hope they enjoy it as much as I have.”

Could you post the details of the MOT advisories as I can’t see them. Also pictures from the Mercedes service book history would be great please. Thanks

SellerThe advice on MOT before last was for rust on brakes (non use) and cracks in tyre walls. Tyres replaced with factory fit, car driven rust gone. Last MOT rust on pads, car driven, rust gone, as is shown in photos.
