All badging, glass, lights and details also offer superb finishes, with no visible damage or signs of age to note, with the slight exception of incredibly minor speckling to the lower edge of the aftermarket front splitter.

The Mk2 RS summons its monstrous power from a heavily upgraded 2.5L Duratec five-pot and a tasty Borg Warner turbo, capable of delivering up to 1.4 bar of boost as standard. In order to contain such a beastly powerplant in the FWD hatch, Ford saw to equip the RS with its patented ‘RevoKnuckle’ front suspension, and an improved Quaife LSD. The end result, is a thoroughly enjoyable powerband, impressive handling, and a blissful turbocharged soundtrack.

Bidders will be pleased to know that this very example lives up to its reputation, and currently performs exactly as Ford intended, with no known faults. In addition to the incredibly low mileage figure, the vehicle’s superb mechanical health can also be attributed to a fantastic maintenance record with regular servicing.
