The Appeal

This 110 was supplied new to Essex Police and comes in good all-round condition with a documented Police service history.

A good and solid example bought earlier this year with a view to doing some light restoration and long-term ownership, a change in circumstances now brings this car to auction and would be the perfect Defender for someone keen to own and drive one of these iconic and sought after 4x4’s.

The Interior

Good original condition with wear commensurate with age and mileage
Small tear on the driver’s seat and some marks to the rear seats

The whole original interior looks in good condition, the headlining is clean and there are some signs of wear and tear throughout but everything works as it should.

The floors are solid and the dashboard and door trims all look good and, except for a few scuffs and marks the interior presents well.

All the gauges and instruments work as they should and the whole cabin has a nicely worn patina of age and use.

The Exterior

Bodywork is nice and straight but there are many surface scratches and imperfections in the paint around the car.

Overall the Defender presents very well, looking good and solid, with very little sign of any corrosion anywhere other than on the odd hinge or bolt.

The paintwork has suffered from the removal of the Police decals and markings but the scratches evident in the paint are not deep and the fitted snorkel, Boost alloy wheels and mud flaps all help to give the car a very purposeful look and feel.

Fully serviced and maintained throughout its time with Essex Police the Defender drives really well and has recently been serviced with new front brake discs and pads being fitted along with a new clutch master cylinder.
