The Appeal
The L322’s many qualities are well known, so it’s not so much ‘should I?’ as ‘which one?’ The 4.4L 313bhp twin turbo TDV8 makes a strong case for being the best real-world choice for its mix of economy and power. Then there’s the fact it’s mated to the tough 8spd auto box, widely regarded as a far better choice than the standard 6spd Comandshift unit.
Painted in popular Stornoway Grey with cream leather and sporting luxury Autobiography specification, this 4.4L L322 is a particularly tidy example. The vendor us a serial Range Rover enthusiast and is only selling because he is trimming down his collection. He bought it earlier this year and, intending to keep it, undertook a long list of maintenance and precautionary checks that the buyer can now benefit from. These include a full service, rear calipers,front CV joints, front suspension struts and a new oil cooler (a common fault). He has also put it on a ramp to check chassis and suspension components and sent the oil for analysis to verify engine condition. We are told that all show positive results.
It presents well and runs a particularly high specification. It is a rare and sought after ‘clear glass’ model fitted with extended leather throughout, heated and cooled memory seats, rear entertainment, and a heated steering wheel. Four brand new tyres and an MOT valid until July 2027 round out the package. A private registration plate is included in the sale.

“The car is a lovely example of the best Range Rover ever produced. It is a stunning colour scheme which really stands out. I bought the car and have done the work to make it my ultimate daily vehicle, unfortunately I am having to make the decision to part with it as it simply doesn’t make as much sense for what I need as a Discovery. The car is incredible to drive, huge amounts of power, supremely comfortable and so smooth! My only reason for selling is I simply cannot justify keeping 3 Range Rovers.”
