The first Dodge Charger appeared on the road in 1966, following the lead by Ford in producing what has become known as the muscle car.
Powered by large V8 engines it has been through many stages of evolution over the years with the 2012 model being a large 4-5 seater saloon, with the RT model being fitted with a 370 horsepower V8.
Imported last year from the UAE this car has had all the work done to make it able to be registered in the UK along with new catalytic converters, radiator and a complete service including all filters and fluids being changed.
The car has now been UK registered with registration mark LX61 HZM and comes with an MOT and receipts for its full service and other works completed earlier this year.
The car has a space saver spare wheel and comes with 2 sets of keys.
The red interior does show some signs of wear and tear, which is to be expected in a car of this age, and there is a rather unfortunate and unsightly cigarette burn in the middle of the passenger seat which would need repairing, and there is a very small tear in the backrest of the driver’s seat, and the same on the left-hand rear seat base.
It’s well-equipped with cruise control, Air conditioning and all the usual niceties that a car of this stature has, together with a sunroof and the rather useful feature of heated or cooled cup holders.
The rather swish tailored floor covering was specially imported and gives the car a quality feel to be enjoyed with the factory fitted Dr Dre sound system.
The seat backs have a few scuff marks from the rear passengers, where there is plenty of legroom and space for 3 people.
Otherwise, the interior is in good condition and features carbon fibre on the centre console and steering wheel, though the owner advises that a couple of the steering wheel remote controls are currently not working.
Finished in White with carbon fibre trim on the door mirrors, fuel flap and door handles, from a distance all looks good. On closer inspection though there are some paint imperfections to be found at the rear of the car that look like they have been touched up rather poorly and there is some work required around one of the front wheel arches where the inner lining is beginning to pull away from the arch.
The offside rear arch has a couple of small dents, as does the rear nearside wing, and beneath the front spoiler there is some damage to the spoiler lower liner, probably caused by catching a speed bump.
The upgraded SRT black wheels are all in nice condition and free from kerb scuffs and marks and the tyres all have plenty of life left in them.
The car is reported to start easily and drive as it should with no issues to report or advise, having had a thorough check over by a well-known west-London American car specialist.
Under the bonnet everything looks in very good order and reflects a well looked after and cared for car.
The Dodge Charger is a name synonymous with American muscle cars and this, more recent version, is more of a well-rounded and well-equipped powerful saloon than an out and out racer. It’s no slouch though, with its 5.7 V8 engine having plenty of power should the need arise.
If you’re a fan of American cars, then this is one that might very well take your fancy and provide comfortable travel for 5 adults easily.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Automatically outbid immediately

Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
