The Appeal

The Lada Niva is one of the most characterful small off-roaders ever produced. Largely unchanged since its introduction in 1977, it has earned a devoted following for its rugged simplicity, genuine go-anywhere ability, and unpretentious charm. Powered by a modest 1.7-litre, 83hp engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, its true strength comes from its permanent four-wheel drive system, high ground clearance, and lockable centre differential. Well-kept, lightly used examples are an increasingly uncommon find.

This 2013 Niva has covered just 35,044 km, and benefited from single-family ownership until very recently. Following the passing of the original owner, it was inherited by his son and placed into storage, before being acquired by the seller in March 2026.
