The Appeal
The VW T2 is one of the most recognisable vehicles in the motoring world. It has become a symbol of the free spirit and enables countless passionate individuals to achieve their dreams of traveling the world.
This particular van, a 2013 Brazilian produced T2C was originally sold in the UK and has been fully equipped in the style of a Danbury Rio camper. With enough sleeping accommodation for a family of four, it is certainly a great vehicle for summer trips throughout Europe. Furthermore, with a modern water-cooled Total Flex engine, it is seemingly ready for many miles ahead.
Currently however, it presents with minimal miles on the clock – 15,300km to be exact – and sits in near-pristine condition. Still registered as an British model, it currently lives in France and the re-registration process has got underway.

The Interior

Very good condition throughout the cabin
Fully built in the style of a Danbury Rio or Diamond VW Camper, this T2C looks exquisite on the inside. Blue leather features throughout the front portion of the cabin in the shape of seat upholstery and beautiful diamond stitching on the door cards. This pairs wonderfully with the white paint accents and headlining.
Further back, this camper will accommodate a total of three adults or a family of four – two children and two adults. In fact, the rear seating folds into a double bed whilst the pop-top roof opens up to reveal a further sizeable sleeping compartment.
A fully equipped kitchen includes a Waeco fridge with freezer, stainless steel sink, plenty of storage and a foldable table. An outdoor shower mean this camper is truly habitable and the whole thing is powered by the 110-240V battery with a circuit board. This generates plenty of power for the LED lighting, water pump, countless electrical sockets and ceiling fans.
The whole thing looks to be in fantastic condition with very few scuff marks visible and everything from the parking camera and sensors to the heaters and electric cooling works as they should. Fitted with a brand-new Pioneer AVH-A210BT head unit, this will work fantastically with the already fitted Blaupunkt speakers.

Following on from the indoor accommodation, this 2013 VW T2C allows for plenty of outdoor lounging. A sun shade rolls out from the pop-top roof and covers the area around a small, removeable table that attaches to the side of the van. Perfect for those sunny evenings, this will make for great holiday memories.
Elsewhere, the camper is far from anonymous thanks to its adorable green and white two-tone paint job. The paint, along with the bodywork all look in fantastic condition. Furthermore, the many badges and chrome accents throughout the exterior seem to shine like brand new.
The chrome wheel hub caps certainly follow that trend. They are fitted with a set of Goodyear Cargo tyres in new condition according to the owner.
Underneath, he car is very clean with only minimal signs of surface corrosion. It is clear to see from the underside that this Kombi has seen little use over its 10 years on the road. In fact, the odometer confirms that theory showing just 15,000km, confirmed correct by the owner.
The Mechanics
Water-cooled Total flex 1.4-litre straight-four engine, 80hp
New exhaust system
Of Brazilian production, this 2013 VW Kombi is ready to run on Super Ethanol as well as standard unleaded petrol. In fact, the 1.4-litre straight-four sat under the floor at the rear is a Total Flex unit capable of producing 80hp. Unlike most VW units found in T2 vans, this is a water-cooled engine, perfect for added reliability.
This little engine is connected to a full new exhaust system, as one can see from the underside pictures. In fact, the line looks to be in very good condition, as does the actual engine bay.
Electronically, this car is surely very simple. In fact, it even features a modest four-speed manual gearbox. However, it does feature an onboard computer and an immobiliser.
Summary
A fully equipped VW T2C Kombi, this campervan presents in the style of a Danbury Rio. With very low mileage, it is in fantastic condition both inside and out. Furthermore, being one of the final VW T2 models ever produced, it is a rare model in Europe, especially in France.
