The Appeal
There are many flavours of Caterham, but the Super Sport is widely regarded as the ‘sweet spot’ for real-world balance of track-focussed agility and brutally quick straight line speed. The 1.6L Ford Sigma engine may only produce 140bhp, but thanks to ultra lightweight engineering, inspired of course by Colin Chapman, it is as quick as any supercar.
With only 6,500 miles since it was first registered in 2014, this attractive Super Sport is in really good order. The white paintwork, black trim and blue stripe are tasteful touches while the wide SV body and lowered floors enable taller drivers to enjoy its thrills.
The vendor is the car’s third keeper and bought it in 2023. It has been maintained since 2017 by the same Caterham specialist, with the most recent service in September 2025 1,000 miles ago. The current MOT runs to September 2026 with no advisories.
This is a nicely specified, well-kept and properly maintained example of the thrilling Super Sport.
The vendor says:
“It’s an amazing experience to drive, and brings a smile to anyone’s face whether they are in the car or not.”
