The Appeal
Here’s the perfect car to fulfil your New Year's resolutions. If your plan involves indulging in some track day, hill climb, spring or even championship action, let this Locust Se7en take you there.
This Championship-proven car is based on the well-regarded Locust kit and fitted with a revvy 929cc Honda Fireblade engine. Two spare motors and various spares come with the car. The car was purpose-built for the Northern Ireland Se7en Championship. It was raced for two seats and, thanks to its high specification, it delivered wins at several circuits.
We’re told that during its life, it has been professionally rebuilt twice by a rally car builder, each time focusing on maximising performance at the lowest weight, in true Chapman style. Features include carbon fibre components and professional wiring modifications.
Currently finished in a distinctive grey and purple colour scheme, this well-kept and diminutive yet highly capable Locust looks huge, huge fun.
The vendor says:
“NI Se7ens Championship Proven. This car is built on a Locust chassis (not Westfield, Caterham, etc.) and was originally constructed specifically to race in the Northern Ireland Se7ens Championship. The previous owner raced against this car for a couple of seasons before purchasing it and during their ownership, the car was stripped and rebuilt twice. The previous owner builds rally cars professionally, and on the final rebuild the car was reassembled with no expense spared, with a strong focus on weight reduction, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
“Widely regarded as a brilliant and confidence-inspiring car to drive.”
