Highlights

  • November 1994 construction to a high standard
  • Age related registration
  • Tax exempt
  • Stunning condition throughout

The Appeal

A lovely car indeed, this fine example of a Beauford has been used as a wedding car and as such has covered very few miles, and been very well maintained and looked after. Built to a very high standard in 1994 using Ford Pinto running gear. This fine motor starts and drives very reliably and wants for nothing, and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes!

The History and Paperwork

  • V5 present
  • The vehicle has been used exclusively as a wedding car, and as such it has been lovingly maintained and cared for, with no expense spared
  • Due to its wedding car role, the car has covered very few miles, and as such there is very little paperwork mostly consisting of MOT certificates and some small receipts for servicing and small jobs carried out
  • The vehicle is tax exempt due to its carrying an age-related number plate.
  • Despite being built in November 1994, the car is registered based on the DVLA provision for a specialist kit conversion and as such uses a large portion of the running gear of the donor car and carries an age related registration
  • It is registered as a Beauford which is a nice touch
  • Clearly close attention to detail has been taken to ensure the condition of the vehicle has been kept to a very high standard

The Interior

  • This lovely interior is very clean and has clearly been very well maintained
  • The passenger seat will be supplied with the car
  • It is set up as a wedding car and as such does not have a front passenger seat to enable easy access to the rear seats despite being a 2-door
  • With seats adorned in supple red leather and the carpets in a lovely thick, plush red, this is a very luxurious interior and is in wonderful condition throughout
  • There has been a small repair to the rear seats where the leather was punctured, however this has been carried out to a high standard
  • The interior also features a wood dashboard panel which is very nice and free of any major blemishes and also wooden door trims, these are also in reasonable condition
  • Everything works as it should and it even includes a matched ice bucket holder for your chauffeured guests
  • Overall a very nice place to be, with the interior being clean and in brilliant condition, full of vintage style and appeal

The Exterior

  • This Beauford is of mid 90’s construction and the fibreglass body is very well presented, and the lovely white paint is in exceptionally good condition
  • The aluminium bonnet is likewise in brilliant shape, with flowing 1930s styling this vehicle is sure to turn heads
  • There is a very small amount of corrosion starting to appear on the bottom of the passenger door as these are of steel construction, however this would be easily rectified
  • Lovely wire spoked wheels complete the 1930’s style and are in very good condition and the tyres are all in good condition and have lots of tread left
  • The dual Spare wheels are mounted on either side on the bonnet with lovely chrome band clamps, a very nice feature
  • This is an exceptional example of the open tourer 2 door body style, and the black soft top is in wonderful condition, being clean and well presented, and folds without issue
  •  Included is a cover to protect it from the elements when folded
  • The headlamp units look fantastic, along with the chrome indicator units and lovely bonnet emblem
  • Overall, a very nicely presented example of the marque, in stunning condition and very well cared for

The Mechanics

  • Mechanically in excellent shape and well cared for. Everything works as it should and the car runs and drives very nicely
  • Ford running gear with a ford Pinto 2.0L engine and ford 5 speed transmission
  • The Beauford ladder chassis is in good condition overall and all components underneath are in good overall condition and are well serviced
  • Not exceptionally clean under the bonnet and under the car but the vehicle has been well maintained nonetheless, would take very little work to get under the bonnet and chassis looking as good as the exterior should it be desired
  • Fresh MOT and new handbrake cables are the most recent work carried out
  • Excellent running order throughout

Summary

Overall a wonderfully well kept machine in stunning shape. Wanting for nothing this car has covered very few miles and been maintained to high standard and has served as a very reliable and luxurious wedding car.

Sure to bring many years of joy to the right buyer in further use as a wedding vehicle or as a private car.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
