The Background
The Mercedes Benz CLK-Class is a prestigious range of coupes and convertibles produced between 1997 and 2010. The W208 coupe carried forward design cues from the E-Class, W210 cars but is predominantly based on the smaller C-Class, W202 mechanically.
The range was initially made available with four-cylinder engines in 200 and 230 Kompressor designations. The powerful CLK320, powered by a 218bhp V6 engine, as featured here, appeared shortly afterwards and was soon considered by many as the pick of the range.
The car is a time-capsule car having enjoyed just one previous owner and having only covered a mere 1,700 miles per year on average. The car has covered less than 8,000 miles in the last ten years and, as a result, presents in a very good condition throughout.
It appears to be period correct throughout and has been preserved in an admirably original condition. The car is now ready to be cherished and enjoyed by its next enthusiastic owner.
The car comes with a great level of paperwork. This includes a current V5 and numerous hard copy MOTs from across the life of the car. Additionally included is the original Mercedes Benz book pack together with service book. The service book details routine maintenance up to March of this year.

The CLK’s pristine perforated leather interior is both sumptuous and fully appointed. The upholstery is finished in Ivory and appears to be free from any significant areas of wear or deterioration. The carpets are in a complimentary colour and appear to be equally well presented.
The dash and door cars are finished in leather and dark veneer as is the dash. All aspects of the interior appear to be in a great condition and seem to be entirely original.
Being an Elegance model, all the toys on offer here including electric seats, windows, rear headrest deployment and multifunction steering wheel. The car is fitted with the original and period-correct Mercedes Benz radio cassette.
As you will see from our photographic package, this is a very well-presented car externally. The combination of Quartz Blue Metallic paintwork and silver, five spoke Mercedes Benz alloy wheels really make this car stand out. The body and paintwork appear to be in excellent original condition.
The paintwork appears to have a high gloss finish to it and no areas of lacquer deterioration, dulling or crazing are noted or reported.
The CLK320 is propelled by the well regarded E32 engine, which is an alloy, 3,199cc V6 which is acknowledged as providing a great combination of refined power delivery and reasonable economy. The power is fed through a smooth shifting 5 speed automatic gearbox.
The current owner reports that all mechanical systems of the car are in good working condition and commensurate with such a low mileage, well-maintained car.
