Description
The Rover 2000 P6 was launched in 1963 and won car of the year as well as many awards for safety and design, thanks to innovative features such as all-round disc brakes and body panels which bolted to a frame like the Citroen DS. The TC version arrived in 1966; a genuine sports saloon with 115mph top speed and 20bhp more than the standard 2000. The P6 has been under-valued for years but prices are rising - now really is the last chance to buy one of these superb cars for the price of a Morris Minor.
This car is a 1972 P6 2000TC in White with red leather, boot mounted spare and “ET” head-rests. It has covered just 57, 000 miles from new with a complete history including servicing bills back to 1972 and every old MOT certificate. The base unit is in excellent condition as is the upper body and the interior is in superb original condition.
On the negative side, there are some minor imperfections to the paint (although it is generally very good) and there is a blow on the exhaust manifold where it meets the down-pipe. It passed the last MOT as an advisory and is perfectly use-able but will need repair/ replacement for the next MOT in March 2018.
We have several cars “in work” right now and a move to new premises on October 1st so I am offering this car with room for improvement but with a few hundred spent it will be, in our opinion, a £5k to £6k car.
Comes with substantial history file, spare keys, original handbooks and service books. Tax exempt and MOT until March 2018.
