An Incredibly Rare Bonneville US import. This is the 1967 T120R model, with matching frame and engine numbers. The R was the road going model. This Bonneville had an air-cooled OVC parallel twin 4-stroke motor that pushed out a solid 49bhp for the T120.
The Triumph Bonneville is one of the classic British bikes and is very well loved. It was reintroduced in 2006 with a modern spec, ABS and fuel injection, but this is one of the classic models without all the modern distractions. This is a simple bike with plenty of character and will be a fantastic find for whoever can embrace and get the most from the qualities of this fantastic Triumph. The T120 was famously plagued with production strikes, and due to a merger and work being split, the Bonneville distribution suffered as a result. This means they are well sought after, and they are well loved.
The 1967 variation was not really a bottom up bike or anything considerably revolutionary. Instead it was a series of incremental changes that all added up to a great all rounder. Model designations carried over from the 66 model, and this engine number was fitted with new Hepolite piston, a new exhaust cam and new timed oil feed. Chromed new braces were added to the engine frame and exhaust.
This Bonneville we have here really is something special. With its deep purple split tank, a longer and slimmer banana stepped seat, and bright chrome details. The pipes wrap the motor with elegant shapes and produce a satisfying putter. This is a chance to own a real looker of a bike; something that turns heads wherever it goes.
