Beschreibung
1948 Norman Autocycle, recently restored and ready to enjoy.
I bought "Norman" as a restoration project in 2004.
The restoration started with a complete strip down and clean.
The frame, forks, mudguards and rack along with other small items were professionally blasted and powdercoated in satin black.
New headstock bearings and D link assemblys were then fitted.
The fuel tank was tested before being stripped and proffesionally repainted with new waterslide transfers, before replacing the fuel tap and pipes.
The wheels have been rebuilt and rechromed (by Brickwood Wheel builders in Salisbury) then fitted with new bearings, tyres and inner tubes. The front brake has been relined (by villiers services)
The pedal cranks, pedals and chains have been renewed along with inner and outer control cables.
The engine is a 98cc Villiers Junior in good running condition. The carburettor was reconditioned (by villiers services) and I have fitted new old stock lighting coils.
Norman had a replacement engine fitted by the previous owner who started to rebuild the original engine.
I do have the original engine shown in the photos.
As far as I am aware it is complete except for the stator plate, points, ignition coil and carburettor fuel bowl.
It does have some new gaskets and bearings, the barrel has been rebored and a new piston etc supplied. I am happy to sell the original engine to Normans new owner but it is not included in the sale price.
The registration is non transferable.
