Here we have a genuine RHD British TR5, First registered November 1968. This particular car has been known by our business partners TR Enterprises from the 1980’s, it was one of the directors fathers car for many years. The vehicle presents itself very well, having been looked after very well by previous owners, it has had in the last 2 years a full engine rebuild by TR Enterprises, also the rear axle was overhauled. A recon overdrive unit has been fitted recently. The vehicle is fitted with new 5. 5x15″ centre laced chrome wire wheels, complementing the external appearance of the TR5
The history file on this car is wonderful, photo’s to back up the previous paintwork, invoices for previous mechanical works, plenty of old MOT certificates, previous owners & correspondence. In the last year the car has also benefited from uprated front axle kit, high capacity radiator, electric fan, 2 speed wiper conversion, uprated heater, 80amp alternator, new fuel tank, all injection system overhauled by Prestige, rebuilt distributor by Distributor Doctor, leather faced MX5 seats fitted (original TR5 seats are available with the car)….
To summarise, this very pretty, rare TR5 has been maintained regardless of cost, out on the road the engine is crisp and very enthusiastic, the o/ d gearbox functions with no issues, likewise the brakes and suspension. The appearance externally is very good, it would not disgrace itself at a car show!
