SUMMARY
Supplied by Greenoaks Mercedes, Croydon, I previously sold this car back in 2010 as a one owner vehicle, that at the time had covered just 38, 000 miles. I sold it to a mature gentleman from Harrogate, who bought it mainly as a "Sunday Car" and who owned and cared for it right up to April, this year, when I bought it from him, due to his failing health. The car has now covered just a touch under 47, 000 miles and still drives every bit as well as I remembered it did back in 2010. Now, having sold this car before, I felt a real duty towards it, and have gone a little over the top in it's preparation this time around, so I think its looking rather resplendent again!.
I've always maintained the 260E was probably the best incarnation of the regular versions of the W124 range; the chassis dynamics are perfectly suited to the super smooth performance of the M103 straight six. These earlier W124's are also built to a much higher standard than the post 1993 car, so bodywork is very well preserved too, and the car has a real feel of quality about it.
It's also been extremely well maintained throughout it's entire life, which is documented by the extensive and detailed history. Although very low mileage, its also been used sparingly, so hasn't spent prolonged periods stood idle.
Finally, please also note that although the vehicle is fitted with steel wheels and trims in the photos, I have a set of newly refurbished, chronologically correct genuine Mercedes 15 hole alloys to be fitted to the car. The steels wheels and trims are naturally still available if you prefer those instead. I will update the photos once the wheels are fitted.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don't just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won't notice... I just couldn't do that. The cars I source are carefully selected and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have. As such I have many repeat customers and new customers that have been recommended via word of mouth... the ultimate accolade for anyone in business.
