1966 BSA A65 Lightning 650 cc Twin Presented in excellent condition and in my opinion very original . It has excellent chrome work and paint work , Shiny alloy engine cases , Excellent tyres , Chain and sprockets and we have just serviced it fitting a new battery , Oil changed , Sonically cleaned carburettors and a new Tacho cable has been fitted . It fires into life with out effort and sounds superb . On the road the gears select correctly and the 650 cc motor pulls very well with no major oil smoke or undue noise . The Lightning was the twin carburettor road going A65 twin and the Thunderbolt was the single carburettor version . Other versions of the BSA A65 were offered by the factory such as the Spitfire , Hornet , Clubman and Star Twin . The A65 Range proved very popular in the USA were most of the production actually was directed . This example was Exported new by BSA Small Heath , Birmingham in 1966 to the USA were it appears to have had a very sheltered existence . Correct engine and frame numbers . US title shows the Lightning returning from Delaware in mid 2018 . It now has its UK V5C . Great looking bike and extremely nice out on the road , Shipping and delivery arranged
