My dad has decided to sell his Caddy Sport, we’d love to keep it, but too many other cars between us means it needs to find a new home.
First registered in May 1992, this is a genuine Sport. It has had five previous keepers and has covered just over 181, 000miles, 23, 000 of which have been since 2005! During Dad's eight years of ownership, It has typically covered one or two thousand miles a year, serviced yearly, garaged and driven only in the dry.
It has a fresh MOT until January 2020 with no advisories, and has recently had a new alternator and windscreen. The cambelt was last changed in September 2012 at a mileage of 175, 888. The original 1. 8 GTI engine pulls smoothly through the gears, and sits happily at idle. It starts, drives and stops as it should.
The sport bodykit and decals are complete and in good condition, minus the bonnet decal which is missing. Otherwise there are some small age related marks, and small amounts of bubbling on the bottom of one door and on the scuttle, which would eventually need attention. The rear load area is chequer plated, and has a tarpaulin cover, a rear towbar is fitted along with electrics. The car is also fitted with a stainless steel exhaust system from the downpipe back, and Lenso BBS style wheels with a reasonable amount of tread.
Inside, a previous owner has fitted Mk2 leather seats, as well as a momo steering wheel and pedals. They have also fitted a ripspeed stereo system with multiple speakers and an amp.
The caddy comes with an extensive history file including many old receipts, MOTs and complete with the original bill of sale.
The caddy is ready to enjoy as is, but could very quickly be turned into a show stopper ready for the Summer show season.
