Beschreibung
Unlike most JZRs, this rather special trike was supplied to the owner as a fully assembled machine in April 1998. The trike uses the engine, transmission and rear wheel from a 1979 850cc Moto Guzzi T3 motorcycle, plus his (John Ziemba) design of frame, with parts for the front wheels and steering from Ford cars.
Since the trike was built a great many modifications and improvements have been made. These include:
Engine supercharged with Roots type Eaton blower from a Mercedes.
New stainless steel exhaust-pipes.
Modified bonnet with nostrils to suit air-intakes.
Wider wishbones, supplied by JZR.
Chrome wire front wheels.
New balanced prop-shaft.
Smaller (15” instead of 18”), fabricated aluminium rear wheel.
New handbrake lever fitted on the outside of the cockpit,
Wood rimmed steering wheel.
New rear (auxiliary) fuel-tank, sender and gauge.
New rear mudguard to reduce pick-up of mud, etc.
Blister on side of body to make more space around accelerator pedal.
Stainless steel luggage-rack and internal tool-box.
A full engine and bevel box rebuild has recently been carried out by Moto Guzzi experts.
The trike comes with a full set of manuals and invoices as well as comprehensive notes written by the trike’s fastidious and enthusiastic owner. There is also a set of luggage to fit over the luggage rack and a tonneau cover.
The trike is reluctantly for sale as the owner decided it is really a young man’s thing. It will be sold with a fresh MoT.
As always we are happy to take a vehicle that interests us in part exchange.
