NOW UNDER OFFER For sale is my 2001 Lomax 223 Three wheeled kit car Based on a 1984 Citroen 2CV the car is correctly registered on the V5C (which is in my name) as a Citroen Lomax tricycle. This has the famous Citroen suspension but using a single wheel to the rear and was built on a new replacement chassis. Whilst its 32bhp 602cc engine is not the fastest around it easily powers the lightweight Lomax and the ride quality on today’s potholed roads has to be seen to be believed.
I have had the car 3 years and have done a series of improvements to bring it back into it tip top condition . These include full engine service Chassis paint and waxoyl, convert to twin (BMW) bing carbs , electric fuel pump , front suspension strip and kingpin angle corrected for the lower ride height , kingpins/ bushes track rod ends replaced . I have also fitted 4 new A rated tyres refurbished and painted the wheels , with matching rocker boxes and headlights . The exhaust is a stainless steel item wrapped to reduce the engine bay temperature the cab we now have Megane folding leather seats which allows the two section tonneaux cover to sit properly , a newly wired dash with gauges for voltage oil pressure oil temp (the turbo gauge is for show )
Bike speedo and rev counter complete the setup (fuel gauge is original Citroen and "very approximates" what's in the 20l tank. Behind the seats there is a fairly large space for luggage tools petrol can etc. Also provided are 2 quick release steering wheels the smaller being used with the "winter" driving cover.
Cheap insurance and £88 road tax. Tested until August 2019. ....... 4 former keepers (+ me)...... I have hundreds of pictures of the rebuilds etc. If you TEXT me your email address I can send a link to them on Google pictures . I also have lots of "paperwork, invoices
