Firstly let me say why this car is for sale, just over 5 years ago I was rushed into hospital and a week later I awoke to find my left arm and shoulder had been amputated and not knowing that I was not expected to survive. It seems I was suffering from Necrotising Fasciitis. Happy to say I am still here! Sadly I am not able to drive her with out having extensive modifications carried. So she needs a new home to go to.
This build started in 2006 when a basic kit was purchased from BRA. The donor motorcycle was a Motor Guzzi 850cc.
The engine was sent off for a total strip and refurbishment and parts replaced with new as required.
The motorcycle rear wheel complete with shaft drive and swinging arm were removed and stripped, inspected and reconditioned as required.
A reverse/ forward gearbox was placed on order and at the appropriate time fitted into the chassis.
Fish tail exhausts and stainless pipes were ordered and fitted, but at a later date stainless heat shields with compound curves were made up and fitted to replace the fibre glass tape that had originally been fitted.
Wheels are spoke with drum brakes and fitted with block rubber tires from the USA to keep the period look.
Electronic ignition was fitted to ensure reliability.
There are a few spares available and in order to appreciate this car you will need to call and inspect her.
More recently a new starter motor was fitted along with a new battery.
The mileage is very low as she was mainly used for displays at classic car shows. There is a fully comprehensive folder full of various receipts etc.
I feel it is worth saying that a new kit would cost £14999 or more now, and then you would need to buy a donor motorcycle with engine, wheels, rear swinging arm, forward/ reverse gear box , stainless exhaust, etc etc,
