Lightweight Crossley Two seater and Dickey.
Never raced or rallied!! Just used as any proper vintage car should be.
This is essentially an Edwardian car
mechanically the same as the four seater tourers used in WW1 as Army staff cars. It was imported from Australia in about 2000 and restored to its present condition by a well known VCC Member.
It has a lightweight chassis and high back axle ratio.
Engine capacity is 3702 cc and performance is more than adequate. Although it has won Concours prizes, it is not 100% cosmetically , I think the judges just find it attractive.
The longest trip I did was to Nice in France and it performed without problems including crossing the Alps.
A written valuation of £55, 000 is available and was done in in 2009 by a well known dealer.
Note that it qualifies for the Edwardian class in some VSCC events as it has no FWB. The rear brakes work well and the transmission brake is usable!
I have fitted an alternator but the original CAV dynamo is available in working order. It has the correct Smiths 5 jet
carburetor with a pre-heater, every-thing else is standard
Just bought another car and need space in the motor home.
