1973 Wassell Antelope Low Fender Trials bike Powered by a Sachs 1251/ 6B engine with a 6 speed gear box. This rare trials bike could NOT be better presented being in truly exceptional condition. Benefits from being road registered. Recent new clutch and rear shocks. Fitted with MP600's with new stantions and seals, classic Rickman conical hubs. The frame was designed by Jim Lee of Dalesman fame, and uses Reynold's 531 tubing. The Company built about 2, 000 of these bikes, most being exported. W. E. Wassell Ltd. was founded in 1946 by Ted Wassell to distribute spares for motorcycles. The company expanded and made competition fuel tanks mudguards. On this success in 1972 they introduced a range of complete frame kits to suitable for the BSA Bantam engines. The next step was a complete machine developed for motocross, enduro and trials. Powered by Fichtel and Sachs engines at a list price of £315. Around 3000 MX, Enduro and Trials machines were built but few have survived in the UK. I am delighted with this one and any prospective new owner will be too.
