We are currently selling RF530 which has recently been taken out of our private hire fleet from The Vintage Red Bus Company
We've owned RF530 since 2014, having bought the bus from Beith Transport Museum. She has been a much loved part of our private hire fleet now, performing extremely reliably. Currently has a tacho fitted (although possibly out of calibration) and has had 6 weekly inspections for a few years now. Since we've had the bus we've had a compressor re-built, all brakes stripped, cleaned up and re-built, a new unloader valve fitted, replacement anti-roll bar fitted (new old stock), a re-conditioned fuel tank fitted, as well as various other minor mechanical repairs. A reconditioned engine (currently leak free!) was fitted around 2005 before my ownership but she really hasn't done many miles with the engine, as she's been in preservation for most of the time! Gearbox is good order and also leak free. All the tyres have been replaced since I've owned the bus so they are all under 10 years old. The chassis is also in good order with little rot. Bus is MOT exempt even for private hire use due to it's age.
The bus has 39 seats in total plus driver. We've had a number of areas of the interior refurbished. Including repainting a number of interior panels, re-corking the floor & re-varnishing the floor. We've also re-trimmed all the passenger seats in appropriate moquette although please note the included set will not have leather edging (still newly re-trimmed set). Ideal for wedding use and honest enough for the preservationists. Windows have all been re-rubbered so she doesn't leak either. There are one or two window mechanisms that don't work (need stripping & rebuilding) and the exterior paintwork is beginning to fade in some areas (particularly the roof) but the bodywork is very good with little rust/ corrosion. Wedding blinds can be included if desired- unfortunately we do not have any route blinds with the bus.
Asking price is £17500 but with no VAT added as the bus is privately owned. Viewing is encouraged - based in High Wycombe.
