Last of the retro Audi’s (based on the Audi 100 before the nomenclature change). A dying breed.
Full service history with 25 stamps in service books, plus plenty of paperwork and handbooks.
Last service this year in January (oil, all filters, spark plugs, gearbox oil, ignition cable), Cambelt done at 169426.
Car has just this week had brand new pads an discs for the rear, and the wheel bearings refitted and greased to the cost of £280!
Very rare blue sports velour seats (extremely comfortable), fully working electric sunroof (also rare to be working), 4 x electric windows & electric mirrors (all working), towbar, 5 genuine original alloy wheels, USB JVC stereo that can play music from phones and iPods with right cable, trip computer.
In 2018 on previous MOT oil was changed and filters, rear shock absorbers and rear brake pads.
4 owners in logbook, 3 keys, engine and gearbox both very smooth , always starts first time. Only 26 2. 6 Auto cars left on road in UK.
Very cheap classic car insurance under £200 per year
Car is original and drives extremely smoothly with an outstanding ride quality you just don’t get in big wheeled modern cars. It’s such a relaxing thing to waft around in and the autobox suits it perfectly. I wouldn’t have a manual as the gearchanges aren’t the best. I wouldn’t have a diesel as this gets me a totally honest 30mpg across mixed driving and the diesels are rough sounding and not fast, or worth the meagre mpg gains.
Engine doesn’t burn oil, and the oil cap is free from ‘mayo’. All gauges work as expected. No digits out on dashboard. 4 very good, recent tyres.
Interior is pretty much spotless with original blue front mats still in excellent condition. No rips to upholstery or damage to dashboard. Heating and ventilation works perfectly. No air con to worry about as bizarrely it didn’t come as standard in these cars! Sunroof performs that function though.
Only faults are the bodywork which whilst it has resisted rust (even the wings!), it has picked up some minor scratches and dents over the years, some in odd places! I have photographed a couple of the worst affected areas but the paintwork in general does not match the interior condition.
I suspect the exhaust may be blowing slightly but not had this confirmed. The car comes with 2 new rear springs included in the sale. I inherited them with the car myself but it drives so well I am not sure it needs them, but they will go with the car.
I haven’t had the car long. There is no reason for sale besides I have seen and purchased a lovely 7 seater E Class estate that better fits my family and work requirements, so this needs to make way for it. I was going to keep her as she was, and remove the tow bar and change the oil when the MOT gets done in January. I look after all of my cars and own a fleet of 90’s classics. I’m just looking to get back what I paid for her.

Car is in Hitchin, Herts and won’t be exported or delivered by me. Happy to meet someone from the station though.
A BMW 5 Series in this condition with this maintenance history would be worth double, and the Mercedes E Class equivalent would have rusted away by now. These are understated class and are a rare sight these days. Parts are cheap and plentiful and they are a pleasure to spend time in.
£200 to hold the car and collection within a week please.
