Beschreibung
This car, built by Alan Layzell as a demonstrator, has seen very little action since its build as within eighteen months of its completion the Type three, with altered rear section was launched causing this model to take to display duties in the showroom. Therefore the speedo currently only reads 2982 miles on the low mileage donor Moto Guzzi drive train, rebuilt at the point of build, having spent most of its time in the showroom, on stands at shows or being demonstrated for a magazine article. There are a few small marks and blemishes on this cossetted vehicle as you would expect but nothing like a vehicle in constant use.
This is a well sorted three-wheeler with its five speed box, all important reverse facility, adjustable wishbones [should you want to hill-climb or trial or maybe take on the Morgans at circuit racing] making for a fun vehicle. Polished Alloy front rims and hubs with disc brakes front and rear give a classic vintage look. This car also benefits from a 15" rear wheel with car tyre giving more grip and more economical tyre wear. Recently serviced and with a fresh MOT this 3wheeler is ready to go.
The Triking is a well-established name in kit car manufacture, the smallest to have their own VIN registrations in fact. These cars were designed by Tony Divey whilst at Lotus. He wanted a replacement for his long in the tooth and well trialled Morgan. It is said he got the design right first time and continuing sales would suggest this to be correct. Once his car was seen in the media Tony was inundated with requests for more and The Triking Sports Car company has continued to produce these exclusive cars for over forty years.
There is a Triking Forum, Owners Club, Facebook page and a newsletter so quite a lot of like-minded folk to join in with or if you prefer do your own thing in an exciting fashion having new adventures on three wheels. These cars certainly cause a stir whenever you are out. Telephone for a trial run or to view here in Norfolk. UK & Worldwide shipping is available.
