A delightful and enchanting example of a 1963 Glas Goggomobil TS250, this diminutive little car has many interesting features for such a tiny vehicle such as its rear hinged doors and the multifunction rear lights.
Registration number GSJ115 and chassis number 02165122, grey roof over cream body. The Goggomobil coupe used the same chassis and mechanics as the Goggomobil saloons. Introduced in 1956 the coupe proved popular enough to endure a 13 year production run. This cute 250cc microcar was restored and repainted about 8 years ago and was later purchased by a retired motorcycle restorer and became part of his collection. While in his keeping the car was improved considerably with rebuilt suspension and braking systems, and all new chrome trim.
One of the best examples in the UK, this microcar has a 2 stroke parallel twin engine, displacing just 247cc and generating 13. 6bhp through a 4 speed gearbox to the rear wheels, top speed is a more than ample 47mph if you dare!
